NOKIA N800

The N800 is the company's follow-up to the 770 Internet Tablet, somewhat of a pioneering device that brought web browsing away from the computer and into the lounge room, or indeed anywhere you can get a data connection. The Nokia N800 is not a phone, nor does it have PDA functionality, yet it is an interesting device and one that I find very handy to have around. We will be focusing mainly on the changes between the Nokia 770 and N800 in this brief review, so it should be read in conjunction with our in depth review of the 770.

The front of the N800 is silver with a chrome rim. The left side of the front holds a five-way d-pad that blinks a light blue color when the device is in standby, charging, or has a low battery. Below this, you can find the back, menu, and home buttons. Stereo speakers are located on either side of the screen. The left edge of the N800 holds the pop-out video camera, and while it swivels up and down 270 degrees, there is no adjustment left and right, meaning you must hold the device at a funny angle when making a video call. The right edge of the device has a 3.5mm headset jack, standard Nokia charger port, the stylus silo, and, hidden behind the foldout stand, a miniUSB port. The bottom of the Nokia N800 has one of the two SD slots, while the top has the zoom keys, full screen toggle key, and the power button. Behind the easy to remove battery cover on the back of the N800 lives the SD second memory card slot and the 1500MaH battery, good for a manufacturer claim of three hours WiFi usage or 10 days of standby. My testing showed these figures to be quite accurate.

SAMSUNG REALITY

At first glance, the Samsung Reality seems like a successor to the wildly popular samsung rouge, from last year; both have touch-screen displays, slide-out QWERTY keyboards, and are from verzion wireless. But if you look a little closer, the Reality is a little more scaled down than its older cousin. The design isn't quite as polished and it has EV-DO Rev. 0 instead of EV-DO Rev. A. Still, the Reality offers multiple home screens and several social features that are missing from the Rogue. If you evaluate it on its own, the Reality is a very good midrange multimedia ...

MOTOROLO MILESTONE

Motorola MILESTONE
The Internet use will considerably increase for the Motorola MILESTONE when it comes to data traffic, or at least that is what the Motorola marketing seems to imply. 3G speed and a browser with Flash support 10 in combination with an ultra-fast processor, should ensure a true multimedia festivity. The large display of the MILESTONE phone features 400,000 pixels, vastly improving reproduction. All we need now is a smart innovation to be able to also use this display in bright sunlight, which would make us completely happy.

Mobile photography with the Motorola MILESTONE
With the fast 3G connection or the use of the built-in Wi-Fi interface, the Motorola MILESTONE provides an extra dimension to the Internet. The reproduction of all the applications, videos and pictures, is of high quality, thanks to the high resolution screen. The 5 Megapixel shooter enables mobile photography, although we still have to do without optical zoom. Autofocus and a built-in flash with an additional electronic stabilization should keep image

Motorola MILESTONE navigation
At this moment, it is not quite clear which applications are fully used and supported by the provider. It appears that the Motorola MILESTONE will support Google Maps Navigation, thus making this phone the first Android phone to have Google Maps Navigation on-board; a world scoop. We are very curious to see how this application works in practice, will the voice commands of the Google application actually guide us to our destination? As soon as we receive a Motorola MILESTONE test sample, we will publish a photo gallery with high resolution pictures, followed by an in-depth Motorola MILESTONE review. quality on a high level.
